Gift to bring to Diwali party

DD (young teen) is going to her (Indian) friend’s house this afternoon for a Diwali party with a couple of other friends from their class.

I can pop up to Waitrose this morning to get something for DD to bring with her - what would be appropriate as a little gift to bring to a teen Diwali party?

Indian sweets, or nice sweets/chocolates.

Sweets or chocolates and maybe flowers for the mum who is hosting? Or a nice candle if you think she might be swamped with flowers.

Crisps/sweets/doughnuts? Vegetarian to be on the safe side. I imagine they have more than enough of the traditional foods and sweets anyway.

When I went to a uni friend’s Diwali party, I took pistachio nougat and sparklers. They seemed to go down well.

Literally anything sweet. A tub of Celebrations always goes down well.

Sparklers and a nice cake/sweets.

Sweet stuff suitable for vegetarians.

I sent her off with a big box of chocolates and a packet of sparklers.

Thank you all!
