Me and my hubby are on our last day of holiday today and feeling blue.
Loved the sunshine and hot weather and now back home to England Tomorrow night.
I'm feeling a bit meh
No more abroad holidays till we go to Greece next august -so a long slog.
We have uk breaks /gigs planned but no abroad holidays.
How does everyone deal with the blues ?
I try and tell hubby how I feel but he says I'm stupid as we have had 2 nice holidays this year so why am I blue etc
I just love the escape from normal life

Maybe think about how you can adapt things in your normal life so it's not too bad to return to?

God I'm desperately looking forward to normality on the last day of a holiday.

What is nice about normal life? Focus on how much you appreciate those things.

If you can only be happy when on holiday then you need to make some changes.

I like to lie there in the sun thinking 'enjoy every second, tomorrow you'll be in rainy England' - seems to do the trick!

Next august isn't that far away! Loads of people don't get to go abroad for lots of reasons. Keep it in perspective!

I feel exactly the same OP, we went away recently, booked a week in Jan and will probably have another week Feb orMarch. I just find the constant rain, dark nights so depressing. Love spending Spring and Summer in the UK, wouldn’t dream of going abroad then, but the winter I absolutely hate.

It was 11 years between my last 2 foreign holidays, and by the end of the second week in Turkey I couldn't wait to get back home 😁 August really isn't too long to wait, and at least when you get home you have Christmas to look forward to.

Unless you hate Christmas, then bah humbug!

The holiday is not over yet! Enjoy every last minute!

As for tomorrow, I'm of no help at all because I suffer with terrible post-holiday blues. I tend to have things lined up (which you already have) and just lean into it. Sometimes you feel how you feel and there's no fighting it.

It's usually two weeks of feeling down and then I perk up again.

I know I need to get a grip
Going to Manchester Christmas markets for two nights in 10 days so that should help
I love Christmas and already thinking of putting the tree up the day after I'm home ha ha
