I love this, a lot.
I have two friends who leave rambling voice notes on WhatsApp and it is so irritating, especially if they say something specific in the middle like a date or fact and I need to listen to it again if I forget it later!
Thank you also to Debrett for mentioning about the multitasking. One of the friends is a huge culprit for this. She interacts with her toddler with little affectionate/admonitory asides at the same time as leaving me a voice note.
"So sorry to hear your last midwife appointment didn't go well, you must be so concerned about - what's that my angel? No darling you can't eat that - so yes what was I saying, do you think they need to get you in for an extra scan? - darling I'm talking to X's mummy, oh look isn't that lovely! Did you draw that all by yourself?"
Average voice note length is 6 minutes.
Just ugh. Why can't she just type a message while she's doing a poo like the rest of us do.
