BMA comment on non Doctor roles

I know there have been a few threads recently about Physicians Associates and some instances of them not making clear to patients that they are not a Doctor.

Thought some people might be interested in what the BMA have said.BMA Guardian Article

The union has called for the recruitment of less qualified staff to be paused.

We’re heading for a healthcare system where people who can’t afford anything else get seen in the NHS by one of these minimally trained “associates”, and anyone who wants to see a proper doctor has to pay privately 🥺
