Over run with rubbish

Our bins haven’t been emptied for 8 weeks as bin men on strike, they returned for one day but didn’t empty bins in our area. Any tips on how to deal with rubbish? I haven’t got a car at the moment to go to the tip but in any case the tip has hour long queue and people are being turned away

Leaves - offer free as mulch

That's a nightmare - what have council said about next/extra collections?

Take a carrier bag at a time to a public litter bin?

Get a small hippo bag wait and collect

Can you afford to have a private company like bukka collect the bins?

I know you shouldn't have to but it's a ridiculous situation.
