Should I get my eye looked at?

Yesterday evening DS poked me in the eye. It hurt like mad and instantly turned watery and red. This morning it’s less red but still red. I feel like I’ve been punched in it, it hurts to move my eyeball and since it happened I’ve had a headache. I do get headaches quite regularly so it isn’t unusual but wondering if it could be because of my eye. Wondering if I should get it looked at somewhere

Phone an optician. They will be able to look at it and can prescribe eye drops etc if needed.

No harm getting it looked at OP if it's still so painful after over 12 hours. Optician is probably a good idea.

Have you got an eye casualty? I was at ours recently with one of my teenagers. It's at the hospital. I was astonished at the number of eye related incidents on a random Tuesday.

I got a piece of grit in my eye. Got an online gp appt who sent me straight to urgent care and then on to eye emergency dept. The trigger points were the pain in the eyeball and constant watering.

I'm a contact lens wearer so they were very cautious.

I'd get it checked.
