Help! Ideas for a weekend away in England this winter

Me, my sister and our 4 kids have booked a weekend in our diaries to go away and do something with all the cousins, in 2 weeks time. However I am totally stuck; there doesn't seem to be anything available! We went to Gullivers one time and it was great as we got to stay on site and go to the park during the day. However it is now closed for the winter. I looked at Centreparcs but it costs £1000 for a weekend! 🤯 am absolutely desperate for ideas, please help! Ideally a "one stop shop" although somewhere with lots of attractions might work. Kids are aged between 5 and 14. We live in Reading and don't drive so it would need to be somewhere you can get to on public transport. I know we should have looked into it sooner but there is a lot going on in our family and nobody had time to research. We really don't want to change the date as 2 of our kids are autistic and changes really upset them. Any ideas thank you so much x

Oxford? You could visit the castle, museum of Natural History, The Story Museum & go to Junkyard Golf. There’s also a Christmas Market about to start.

The Manor Hotel often gets mentioned in threads asking about alternatives to Centre Parks, and they'll pick you up from the train here.

Birmingham for Cadbury world and Xmas market, science museum, sealife, not on one site but all doable by train from Reading. Bournville is accessible by public transport

You can get the train and stay in Winchester.

The Xmas market is on, there is the science centre - big hands on kids science stuff, just up the road (5mins in a cab)

Lots of little museums. Hotel, pubs, parks, everyman cinema.

Thanks for all the suggestions xx
The manor hotel looks amazing as it's all in one place. Just might take a bit too long to get to. Ideally I want something like the Manor but closer to home 😅

Oxford we have done to death otherwise thar would be brilliant, and Winchester looks fab. Thank you xx
