Hello,
I have always had anxiety disorder. On the few occasions I have smoked weed it has made me terribly paranoid afterwards but I've found myself somehow really desperate for more. I haven't had any since I broke up with a weed smoking ex at university. That was about 18 years ago.
I still have anxiety that sometimes causes me real problems, but mostly I manage it well.
Basically I like what I have heard about CBD oil and how it reduces anxiety and increases concentration and calmness etc.
Is there anyone who struggled with weed but gets on well with CBD oil?

I've bot tried weed but found cbd was good for my anxiety! I've tried drops and vape, vaping it is more effective!

Thanks for replying. Is it manageable in terms of not being addictive and not making you paranoid? I just associate it with cannabis but hear so many good things. What does it do for you?

I don’t have anxiety generally but cbd makes me super anxious!

Have you seen Trip?

They do drinks, they are really nice. I like to have them instead of alcohol.

@Veryverycalmnow I have anxiety and the trip drinks are great for feeling relaxed (the drops too) haven't tried vaping it, wouldn't know which brand to try.

I have terrible menopause -related anxiety. HRT helped, but recently I've started taking CBD and I feel better and sleep better now.

This is good to hear. I suppose we're all very different but glad to hear it is working for some people. Thanks 👍

I smoked lots of weed when i was a teen and into my 20's. I slso dabbled in other recreational drugs until the downside/come downs outweighed the good sides so have largely avoided all drug for about 18 years.
But the last few years I have started experiencing anxiety, largely due to age (period menopause ) and stress due to major life events so felt I needed something to help me at night. A friend recommended CBD oil and I was wary at first but actually, it has really helped.
Get some good quality CBD oil, start on the lowest strength, and just go easy. It's very very subtle. I havent had paranoia. I largely take it before bed.
Hope this helps

Thanks so much for this. This is just the reassurance I needed. I'll make sure it is a slow introduction. Thanks for taking the time to help. 🙂

@PearlClutzsche I am in the same situation in that HRT has helped but not fully.
Please may I ask which brand/strength of CBD have you found to be helpful? Thank you.

Right, this hemp oil on Amazon is really good.

I'm menopausal (for 4 years) and have always slept 5 hrs a night or close to it, always knackered etc, Take HRT - do everything to reduce my stress

So the ONLY change in last month is taking this oil and I now get at least 6 hours a nights sleep - a world of difference cumulatively!

I take a pipette full under tongue, hold it there a few minutes before swallowing. Thousands of great reviews and I've just bought my second bottle

@Whatliesbeneath707

Apologies, only just seen your question.
I take "Love Hemp" capsules, last thing at night.

Good luck, if you try it. Anxiety and insomnia is a nightmare 😔

Whatliesbeneath707 · 21/11/2023 12:18

Thank you @PearlClutzsche , I will take a look.

Unlike weed, CBD doesn't cause that high or paranoia, but it still helps me manage my anxiety effectively.

CBD oil has been praised for its ability to promote calmness and improve concentration without the psychoactive effects of THC. It's become a staple in my daily routine, helping me stay balanced and focused throughout the day.

If you're curious about exploring more options, you can buy cbd flowers. I think it could also be worth considering. They offer a natural way to experience CBD benefits, whether you prefer smoking them or using them in cooking or tea.
