Hello all you lovely lot,

DD8 got all upset this evening when she took a keyring to a club and lost it there. We've tried to locate another one but can't find it online. She traded it with the friend of a friend of a friend in school so we can't ask them which shop they got it from either...

It's a flocked panda which is dressed in a chicken costume, if that even makes sense!?! It's about 2-3 inches tall and has a keychain attached to it.

If anyone knows where to get one or the brand we'd be so grateful!

Thanks in advance ❤️

This?
I'm sure if it is you could find it cheaper though.

Can't wait for OP to come back to find out which of the pandas it was. Who knew there would be some many choices of key rings of pandas dressed like chickens!

Love this thread!

@NovemberName I know, it's crazy isn't it, so random 🤣

@BurntOrangeAutumn , @Doggymummar , @bruffin thank you all so much for helping out, it's unfortunately not one of these but it's made my day just knowing people are trying to help ❤️

It's like a Sylvanian families texture if that helps 🙄

Lol, now the family council is telling me it's NOT a fuzzy texture, it's a hard texture 🙄🤣

Is it this?

@heartsinvisiblefury it's a similar idea but the chick outfit covers the panda, it's so specific and of course nothing else will do for an 8yo 🙄

@heartsinvisiblefury thank you so much though ❤️

Could she ask her friend where she got it from?
Claires do flocked keyring, but they are quite small probably not 2 inches.

Bubble54 · 18/11/2023 12:28

@heartsinvisiblefury she's going to ask Monday so fingers crossed 🤞

Do you have a MiniSo near you? It’s very much their style of thing, though not showing on their website I’m afraid 😕

Bubble54 · 18/11/2023 15:45

@TooFondOfBooks we have one a train ride away, I agree it's definitely their type of thing. Thank you so much, I didn't think of that before you suggested it!

You’re very welcome: I do hope you’re able to replace the keyring. (Apologies if this is a silly question, but have you tried asking the club organisers if it was found/handed in?)

Bubble54 · 18/11/2023 22:38

@TooFondOfBooks thank you 😊 yes, my sister in law runs the club and we were able to go back to the hall and check if it was there. Another kiddie probably took a fancy to it.. I'm forever telling my kids not to take stuff to school/clubs but they never listen, especially DD 🙄 Maybe she'll learn this time!

@Bubble54
Oh dear. I suppose there is a tiny chance of a genuine mistake & it being returned at the next session - children picking up each other’s things, the neverending story - or a parent realising it was half-inched & forcing its return; but 😕
My sister once had her coat stolen by another girl at an event for 4 Brownie Units. It was an incredibly distinctive coat, with a nametape in, & the coat left behind couldn’t possibly have been mistaken for it. My sister loved that coat & it had lots of wear in yet (I was very light on my clothes & she’d plenty of growing room) but even having the other Leaders ask their Units nobody owned up, let alone did someone turn up at their next meeting, as you’d expect, with the coat, an apology, & a request for help to return it to its owner. Er, yes, I’m still a wee bit cross about that apparently, but my point really was that sadly some parents facilitate their offspring stealing from their peers & laugh off shoplifting by primary age children as if they were babies/toddlers pulling things into their prams; & others won’t believe their child could possibly ever do anything wrong & any/all accusations are unjust/unfounded/malicious even if it’s their own brain telling them their child is clearly lying about eg being given their new keyring by randomperson Just Because. So while I’d like to believe they keyring may come back as either it was picked up as a genuine accident or a parent will do the right thing, I fear not. (Admittedly it is - unlike, say, a fecking coat - loot small enough to conceal, which complicates the picture.)

Good grief I need to get some sleep 😶

Bubble54 · 19/11/2023 11:51

@TooFondOfBooks you're much more awake than I was at that time 🤣 I know exactly what you mean, I've worked with children for years and feel like I've seen it all! I'll post on here if we get it back or find a new one, just to satisfy everyone's curiosity 😁
