Me, OH and DD sat on the sofa watching a TV show. OH was being "funny". Gently smacked me on the head with a spoon ,then doing the what who what?!? confused look and questioning. I had a go at him in fake outrage and DD is laughing her butt off. We're all giggling and it's warm, and we're chilled ,spending time together and enjoying ourselves. As I'm laughing, I somehow became aware of how nice it is and just enjoyed it.Yes it's silly and stupid and there's still the real world out there with very real worries and stresses , but for tonight we're just chilled and enjoying being silly. I needed this(really crap week at work) , I think we all did .

It was just... nice .

That’s lovely op. Sometimes nice, cosy nights at home with your loved ones are all you need.

Exactly this. Nothing special, just on the sofa , with some ice cream(hence the spoon) and an old TV show.

To me those are the best nights. I like going out every now and then but being at home with my dh and dd is lovely too.
