I have caught some kind of horrible grotty flu-like virus and fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hours after work because I have zero energy and feel rubbish.
DD1, 17, has spent the best part of 3 years gaming in her bedroom when she’s at home, refusing to do anything apart from the bare minimum of schoolwork and only speaking if she wants to demand something. Tonight she went out running and when she came back spontaneously said ‘Do you want me to get the tea ready because you’re not well?’
I’m so surprised and happy I could cry - I had to plead with her to put frozen pizzas in the oven when I had COVID a couple of years ago.
Just sharing this for anyone struggling with teenagers because it’s a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel!
