Finger nail dents/groves (with pics)

Does anyone else have similar and know what can cause it? I've had these ridges to varying degrees since late teens. They seemed to improve 2 years ago and are now bad again (I'm 36). Assuming no cause for concern as Ive had them so long but I also regularly get low folate. Currently awaiting a Dr appointment as I haven't felt like eating in 3 week, feel alomost "full" just under my ribs. Also absolutely exhausted and get regular dizziness.
I also get pelvic pain (since c section) and some random bowel issues but awaiting appointments to see a consultant for these.

Psoriasis.

Can also just be part of aging

Mine do this when I pick at my cuticles extra hard. Are you a picker / nibbler?

I have them on my thumbs . Part of aging I think.

Oh yeah nail psoriasis

Hi OP, I’m not sure about the nails but the other symptoms definitely sound worth checking out. It’s very unlikely but I’d make sure you get checked for ovarian cancer. While it’s very, very likely to be a number of any other things, rather than that, it’s worth mentioning to the doctor as often the types of symptoms women get can be dismissed.

Question111 · 17/11/2023 15:40

I don't think it's aging as I've had it since I was around 15 and I don't bite my nails or pick etc.

@CormoranEllacott that's what worrying me.

I really thought twice before saying what I was specifically thinking of, because it really is unlikely. But I also know how the types of symptoms women get can be too easily dismissed, so did want to mention it. Because even though it’s unlikely, obviously, it’s worth making absolutely sure. Hope you feel better soon.
