Come away for big birthday, birthday dinner tonight, shit night’s sleep due to work going on in middle of night in hotel - banging and drilling, was asleep by 10 but woken 1 and 3 changed rooms at 4 but no longer able to sleep past 8 whatever.

I have small children so don’t look best at most times but I look and feel like crap today. Dreading my lovely dinner.

anything I can eat/take, products I can use to help me look and feel less ☠️??

Full fat coke, coffee, smoothies, carbs. It doesn't sound like you had too bad a night's sleep though. I also use plenty of concealer and something to put some colour on your face like a bronzer

This! And see if you can get a glass of ice and two spoons from the hotel - chill the spoons in the ice and put over your eyes, it'll make you feel fresh and de puff anything you've got going on. Then dump the ice in the sink and add cold water and give the rest of your face a mini ice bath. That always helps me!

Goodness. I hope the first thing you’ll do is put in a complaint and seek a refund for your ruined night’s sleep?

Not clear whether your children are with you? If not I’d suggest you carve out a couple of hours to sleep later today.

Thanks all, I feel pretty grim @Funkyslippers

@Any1Else the new room was an upgrade but we are definitely complaining it was insane!!

Any chance of a power nap before you go out?

Moredarkchocolateplease · 17/11/2023 14:31

Yes you need a nap. I struggle without one if I have to stay up past 8pm.anyway!

Can you go and sleep in the car for half an hour? That usually takes the edge off for me (put the seat down, coat over you like a blanket, doors locked and breathe)
