It’s a tea question - can you settle a difference of opinion?

If you use a tea pot, do you leave water/tea at the bottom of the tea pot?

We have a tea pot and tea leaves.
If I make a cup of tea, I’ll empty the tea pot completely.
Dh always leaves a bit of water/tea at the bottom, which I hate.

So what do you do?

After pouring a cup? No, we either Finish the pot or we’d pour it out.
Why does he want to keep cold tea in the bottom of the pot?
Does he leave his cup sitting with a bit of tea in the bottom? his glass with a bit of beer in the bottom? his bowl with an uneaten bit of custard covering the bottom?
Weird I say!

Empty the pot generally. Why waste tea by leaving some in the pot?

We do have a teapot but do not use it. It was a gift from my granny. Tea is brewed in cups at home, however if we go out and are given a tea pot we use every last drop. Husband will have one cup and possibly a bit of a refill but I insist on drinking everything. I prefer a large tea pot and not one of those tiddly ones with a jug of hot water to refill it and I despise the stainless steel ones and have been known to request an extra teabag in the pot because cafes tend to use crappy teabags which make tea like gnats piss.

I never usually finish the full pot at home so leave a bit. Empty in a cafe though cause the pot is smaller

I'm not sure I fully understand.

I'd make a pot of tea and have a cup. I'd leave it for 30mins of so. If no one else had a 2nd/3rd cup of tea, I'd empty the now cold water and tea leaves out, rinse, leaving an empty pot to dry.

How long is he leaving it for? Do you mean leaving water and leaves in the pot for days? 😬
