Go kart for 10-11yr old???

My eldest has put go kart at the top of their FC list this year and I'm flummoxed!! All the ones I have looked at seem to small or too expensive... I don't mind splashing out a bit but can't afford top 100s with other gifts as well! However want to surprise them as they've been amazing this last year or two.

Any suggestions???

If they mean a proper Go Kart it will cost a fortune and you need somewhere to drive it.
Do you have a local Go Kart track? Could you book a session there or a series of lessons - many offer lessons for young drivers

Google go kart tracks and book him a session.

They provide racesuits, helmet, basic instruction and he'll get half an hour on track with other drivers in his age group. Or you can book a family session and hire the track.

These ones are popular with DCs' friends of that age...

My kids don't have one so can't offer a personal recommendation, but they look fun!

My 11yo has the hoverboard with seat attachment and it's brilliant. He mostly uses the hoverboard on its own but goes through stages of making it into a go kart, drawing tracks outside to follow etc. You need a lot of inside space to properly enjoy a hoverboard but I'd recommend one.

Thanks all, he is actually a she! Don't think she wants a proper motorised go kart, she's expecting to have to pedal it? She'd quite like one with a trailer attachment though... 🤔

I've got a secondhand hoverboard for her brother and am just looking for a kart to go with it for him, but she's not so keen... There are apparently "older child" pedal go karts out there as a school friend brought one to an event a few months ago which is what gave her the idea! Unfortunately not friendly enough with the mum to ask for details (or to have any contact for her)...
