DD thinks she has a bit of astroturf stuff in the charge port of her iPhone, how do I fix it

She is the whiniest 15 yr old and is doing my head in about this because she apparently can't live her life if she doesn't have a working phone. I have sent her out to the car to put her phone onto the wirelesss charger, but that's pretty slow so she won't get a full charge in a reasonable time, especially as she is talking to her friend while charging. What can I do to get the bit of grit out of the charging port?

Can of compressed air.

I'll have to get a can in for future emergencies.

Google suggested a toothpick used gently, and seems to have worked. Is she grateful? No, not at all. She is now whining about how cold she is from sitting in the car even though I told her to put a coat on first.

Hoover?

Sorry just RTFT!

Don't worry, more suggestions are always welcome. She's a mad keen footballer and her phone is never far from her hand, I'm sure there will be more astroturf incidents in the future.

Why are you trying to sort this for a 15 year old?
