They do look like fleas to me. They can come into the house on shoes, clothes etc so eggs could already be in the house. Sorry 😞

Fleas

They look like fleas, and I think can be living in the house for awhile without a host. Your mum is now the host!
Spray the whole house, including mattress and sofa cushions, with several cans of insecticide. Wash all the bedding at 60*.
You can get rid of them but it’s a solid weekend’s work of cleaning and hoovering and spraying.

Thanks for responding….house is very clean, my mums washed everything at high temperature and it’s only her that’s been bitten (not my dad) 😬

I get bitten by everything but DH doesn’t, so your mum might just be a tastier snack for them.
The house could be clean as a whistle, but the fleas lay eggs in the carpets, in cracks by the skirting boards, etc. You really need to spray the house.

Indorex is the best spray to kill the little buggers, unfortunately as said above the eggs can be in cracks anywhere and lie dormant until ideal conditions.

Thanks for the advice! Indorex, here we come !!
