Which layout?

We're doing up our lounge and will be getting a corner couch and a three seater. One of those needs to be a sofa bed.

Which layout do you think is better? We were going with the second so that if we need to replace in the future it's easier and cheaper, but now I'm dithering and thinking it would be better on the corner to have it facing the TV? It'll be used as a bed maybe quarterly for a couple of days.

I agree with you that it is better to have the separate sofa as a sofa bed, not part of the corner unit.

Thanks.

I feel absurd even posting this it's such an "I know I'm overthinking but I just can't help it" type situation!

I’d go with whichever one turned into the nicest sofa bed, without compromising the comfiness of the sofa.

@Talipesmum they're both exactly the same - it's a modular Vimle from IKEA Grin

I was also going to say to go for comfort, but you say they are the same. However I think you will find that there is a difference in the way they feel. If you do notice that, then I would put the sofa bed in the place it will be used for sitting least. If there is no discernable difference, then I would go with whichever position has a place for a side table and lamp next to it.
