Weather bullshit

So for the last few days loads of weather warnings...danger...heavy rain...more warnings of a so called storm today coming to destroy the west country. Batten down the hatches.
Why all these endless scary warnings?
We had a bit of rain, it was a bit colder. Now we,ve got mizzle.
It's hardly a bloody hurricane.
Why is everything on TV a danger and a warning life is stressful enough. I think I'm going to have to get rid of my TV again. It's making me depressed.

Perhaps you live in a place that hasn’t suffered. We’ve had weeks of pretty relentless rain, roads and houses flooded, routes out of the village impassable, massive pumps trying to keep more water from overwhelming everything, clearing of drains and ditches ( too little, too late), people being refused insurance, despite not having been flooded, people having to leave their houses and still it goes on.

It may be ok where you are, so be grateful. We’ve had enough.
