How long are UK passport renewals taking atm?

Just that, has anyone renewed their UK passport recently and how long did it take?

I just did mine. Sent off the application last Tuesday, returned my old passport Wednesday received my new passport yesterday. So 1 week to the day.

5 days for me

Did DCs at end of October, was back in just over a week

About 5 days last week!

A week but now I am not going abroad as I had expected so I probably won’t need it for a couple of years - sigh.

Applied Sunday, sent old passport Monday new passport came Thursday so 4 days! I was shocked at how quick it was

Don't do fast track
Also I wish I hadn't paid extra to get my old passport back signed for

Application done online on the Sunday, old passport sent to them on the Monday, new passport arrived on the Friday.

Op, the great think is they send you frequent updates by text. They are among the best at keeping you aware of every stage. Pretty sure you will have it by Tuesday.

Getting worried sent signed for Weds around 5:30pm but on checking Royal Mail it hasn't been received!
Too soon?

Depends how good your local letter box collection times are but I still would be very confident. Quite literally it gets turned around within 24 hrs once they receive the old one.

Just posted son's off, applied online Thursday. We shall see! Nice to hear how quickly it is happening.

8 days from application to receiving new one, and that was with sending the old passport, and a problem with the name, that was resolved over the phone in 5 minutes! I was very impressed!

That was only a couple of weeks ago.

Hi @Mum5net yes it arrived on Saturday so from day of sending old one back, it took just over a week!
