PIP assessment tomorrow what to expect

I have got my PIP assessment tomorrow. I am really worried about it. Has anyone had one recently? What should I expect? I am really bad at putting my points across in situations like this. What questions do they ask?

Had one in July, it lasted around an hour and all the questions were very much along the topics of the points system they use to award the benefit. Points system.

Be prepared for a long wait to hear the results. Our call was early July, got the award letter about a week ago!

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) points system

Get the benefits you're entitled to: help with personal independence payment (PIP), universal credit (UC), employment and support allowance (ESA),disability living allowance (DLA). Claims, assessments, reviews, appeals.

Thank you. At least I know what I said to the questions. I have heard so many horror stories that I have myself in a right state.

I dont know if you've had it yet. But good luck!

Mine was actually very short, they just went over my list of medication and asked about my day to day activities and 15 mins later I was done.

Awarded full care and mobility.

Just try and relax know what you put in your form and listen out for any questions that seem like a trick....ask them to repeat it - eg do you watch tv (looking for how long you can sit and pay attention)

My mum had hers and they went through the form questions by question so if its by phone it may be useful to have a copy of your form in front of you. Hers took about an hour.
She had her reply 3 weeks later and had gone up a tier to full care and mobility from middle rate.

So best of luck and try not to panic - just repeat and repeat what you have already told them on your form

Remember to tell them what it is like on a good day (or time), not what you can achieve when you are at your best. In my case, I get worse as the day goes on, so whilst first thing in the morning, I could walk 200 metres, by the end of the day, I would struggle to walk 10 metres.

I have just had it and I am trying to calm down. I’m worried I might get nothing because I can take my son to school ( she asked me the name of the school and looked it up on Google maps). I feel like a massive fraud even though I was telling the truth.

We spent half the call just on my medical diagnosis as I have a lot of health conditions. I don’t know what to think she seemed nice.
