Gift for a 6 month old baby

We're doing Secret Santa in my family this year, and the relative I have drawn is a 6 month old baby. No idea what to buy! Budget is around £30-35. Any suggestions?

Parents dislike plastic and waste, so I'd like it to be something ethically made.

Google Montessori toys or Scandiborn. Buy anything wooden in this range. Ribbon rings are always a hit, stacking cups, block etc.

Or what about a nice set of bamboo bowls and plates for when they start weaning?

Is he the first in his family?

@Mamoun Yes first in the family so there aren't many hand-me-downs etc. - that's a great idea for a bamboo weaning set, thanks.

If you are considering getting clothes at all, remember that they need to be weather specific for the age you have bought them for. So not a gorgeous summer outfit in age 6 months, for instance. Speaking from experience... someone at my work very kindly bought a gorgeous, and very expensive, teddy snowsuit for my new grandson - born in June.
