Mumsnet Mystery - why has my bra turned green?

I was wearing a ‘naice’ white bra yesterday and it’s gone green. Not a mouldy green but a nice shade of mint in places.

i could understand it if I was wearing something green over it but I was wearing a white T-shirt and cream sweater.

It’s completely inexplicable so I call on the power of Mumsnet to help me find the answer.

Have you changed your antiperspirant / deodorant? Substances in some of them can react with sweat to turn fabric green.

Could it have underwiring with brass components? (Unlikely I guess)

(I found a “gold ring” on a remote beach last year, I wore it for a week - then my finger went a bit green (it was actually brass)

I had this happen with a white t-shirt. I believe its a reaction between your deodorant and washing powder.

It's a sign. The Martians are coming.
