Hi everyone, I know a couple of you replied to me over the past couple of months, I am visually impaired and bought an apartment in Greece back in March. We had two very bad floods in September, and it has been a rocky few months. I feel like my resilient self again, I also had Covid in October, so was feeling quite down, but I have found a center for disability to go to for activities and things during the week. I have also been taking my coffee and breakfast there, and just , trying to take my mind off of what’s going on. We had a homeowners meeting the other day, and everybody was arguing about the repairs that need to be done. The work will begin at the end of the month, my Greek is quite good, but with everybody shouting, it was a bit of a sensory overload.
anyway, just to let you know, I’m hanging in there. I do get very nervous every time it rains now, but I think that’s probably normal after what we went through. I’ve been trying to do little things, like enjoying a bar of chocolate with strawberry, or reading on my balcony when it is sunny, etc. The other day at the center where I go, somebody was playing the bouzouki, I don’t know the words to the songs, but we were all dancing, so it got rid of some energy.
