I've currently got some kind of virus and I craving broccoli and mash with loads of gravy. Unfortunately, I don't have either potatoes or broccoli in the house!!

Got me wondering, what do you always fancy when you are ill.

Curries. Homemade and spicy as hell.

I hope you feel better soon!

Crikeyalmighty · 14/11/2023 14:37

Tomato soup with bread smushed into it and fried eggs on toast with butter

Plankingplanks · 14/11/2023 14:40

Prince's Chicken in White Sauce with basmati rice and vegetables.

DH thinks it looks like vomit on a plate but it's my go to comfort food.

RabbitsRock · 14/11/2023 14:48

Heinz tomato soup

Scalottia · 14/11/2023 14:49

Salt and Vinegar crisps!

Heinz tomato soup and cheap white bread.
Scrambled eggs on toast.
French toast.
Quorn dippers in a wrap.
Mashed potato.

Basically beige and carby, by the looks of it.

FannyBawz · 14/11/2023 14:57

Roast chicken dinner.
nothing else will do

Laffinalltheway · 14/11/2023 14:59

Chicken Noodle soup.

AdaColeman · 14/11/2023 15:00

When at death's door.....Chicken broth. When feeling a bit better...other soups, noodles in broth.
Toast and jam.
On the road to recovery....Shepherd's pie or cottage pie.
Definitely getting better.....Chicken in white sauce with rice.

Cold tomatoes from the fridge.

Plankingplanks · 14/11/2023 15:08

I wonder what makes you crave certain things? I always thought I fancied broccoli because I was lacking in some vitamin

Heinz spaghetti with sausages in the tin with bread and butter.
It's what my mom gave me when I was ill growing up and I still crave it to this day when under the weather.

SingingSands · 14/11/2023 15:13

Egg chopped up in a cup with toast and tea.

Luckydog7 · 14/11/2023 15:14

Grilled cheese sandwich with onion, mushroom and Chutney or if too lazy to cook, beef and bre on farmhouse bread with chutney.

Also partial to bowls and bowls of crunchy nut cornflakes and cold milk. I cant have it in the house though as its all I ate for the first couple of weeks after dc1 was born and I've developed a bit of an addiction.
