Portable party toilet help!

This is not the nicest subject! DD is having a late 18th party in the garden, in a marquee, in Dec. We kind of assumed we'd get a couple of portaloos for the side patio but now realise the gate round the side of the house is much much too narrow to get one delivered.

None of the companies we've spoken to will bring them through the house.

We've 100 18 year olds and only one downstairs loo.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

DH was thinking of buying those teepee tents off Amazon and putting camping toilets in them but the biggest is only 20 litres and I'd really rather not empty them in the middle of the party

They'd be situated right by the drain so we could conceivably run a pipe into the manhole or the drain but I can't find a product that offers this.

I can't be the only person with no viable side access looking for temporary loos in London?

(Outside the front door is possible but that means a constant stream of kids going in and out and security would be a nightmare)

Anyone with any magnificent ideas?

Would it be out of the realms of possibility to move the party to another venu? Hire of the local community centre or club grounds might be worth considering.

Nowhere hires for 18th due to anxiety about underage drinking and rowdiness. I've tried!

You can't be the first.

Can it go at the front? Is there anywhere there then they access via the side.

Keep trying companies, someone must do it.

I've found a company just now, site equip, you hire the toilet and it has a portable lifting frame, it says especially for tricky locations. Minimum four week hire, 40 per week.

Remove a fence panel or take the gate off its hinges and frame.
I have resorted to this when getting a large piece of garden furniture in.

Can a portaloo go at the end of the side passage but sited so that the door blocks off the end of the passage - forming a tiny toilet annex ?

Also wanted to add that most ,if not all ,of the males will happily pee in the garden so the inside would mainly be for the girls .

Unfortunately it can't be lifted over the whole house- the whole side access alley is too narrow

Think it's camping toilets then. Or a caravan type system with a hose down to drain in a tent.

But giving this a bump, or dumpBlushfor evening crew.

100 x 18 year olds having a party in your garden? I wouldn’t be expecting any Christmas cards from your neighbours this year 😳

What about the lapee? The standing urinal for festivals - it can connect to existing drainage or has a tank storage system. No idea if it would fit or is available for smaller locations.

indoor toilet could be for no2s?

SkaneTos · 14/11/2023 23:24

Could the portable toilet be in front of the house?

Howdoesitworkagain · 14/11/2023 23:26

Why would security be a nightmare if it was at the front of the house? Wouldn’t the partygoers just use the side gate to get to and fro?

Check out the Euroloo website. They say they have folding pórtalos and MOD pods which are often used for narrow access areas in central London. Approx sizes are on the website
