What do you do when you're feeling blue?

I'm glum. No major reason, I'm just cold and hormonal.

I'm freelance, and home alone. Usually I'm so perky on my alone days! So, I've allowed myself half an hour with a nice warm drink, and a blanket, at my desk, half staring into space, and half doom scrolling on mumsnet. Really hoping the leaves thread takes off.

Usually, when I'm glum I cuddle the dog. However, she and I are sulking with each other due to her behaviour on our morning walk, and I believe she's set my mood for the day. She disagrees, and thinks perhaps I'm being hormonal.

She may be right.

But anyway, I ramble.

What do you do when you're glum, when you still have to work, and you're trying not to eat the entire world out of carbs? Or, tell me funny things that make me smile!

I dunno, but if you come up with an idea, I’d like to know.

Im sick of rain and flooding and not being able to go anywhere because of rain and flooding. It’s really got to me today.

Swim or run. Try to stay off social media.

I am also out of sorts and grumpy. Definitely not hormones (age) or work (only work Fridays at this point). The weather is part of it. I’m normally really happy with my life these days, but not today.
If anyone has a good solution I’m all for it. Sorry, @Lentilweaver but swimming is unbearable in this weather and my bad knee precludes running. Plus its dark, windy and horizontal rain keeps happening. Outdoors is not going to cheer me up.
