I’m looking around in different shops at carpet, it’s a minefield
This has got to stand it’s time down

I don’t want something that looks good for 6mths then goes flat and tufts don’t stand their time

what’s best 80/20 wool but !! Son is capable of spilling things and very heavy on his feet. Plus can you get 80/20 wool with built in stain resistant
or
Polypropylene which is stain resistant, but is it any good

Help me pick one if you’ve recently bought please

We had one fitted in the summer. We have a very good local small company, from whom we’ve had several carpets, so we ask his advice.

We have good quality underlay and it really makes a difference. The carpet is 80/20 and has a tweedy sort of fleck. We don’t have young children, which will make a difference from your point of view.

I recommend a local small retailer who knows what they’re talking about and can advise. The big chains might be cheaper, but they’re just out to up sell. We get a discount because we’re repeat customers. We thought we might like a stripe in the carpet, but he explained why it wouldn’t work on our stairs.
