I have the above oven. Earlier I cooked something in the small top gas oven and when it had finished cooking I assumed I had turned the dial to 'off', took out my food and shut the oven door. In fact, what I had done was turned it past the 'off' position to 'grill'. The two settings are very close to each other and when you grill you're supposed to leave the door open. After a few minutes I thought "what's that smell?". I went out to the kitchen and immediately saw my oven tray which I had left in the top oven was on fire. I think there must have been some oil on the tray from the food I had been cooking. Managed to carry the tray to the sink and put out the flames.
I'm just wondering now if the electric grill would still be useable or have I destroyed it? I have since turned the top gas oven on and that appears to be working but I'm a bit hesitant to turn the grill on.
