How do I find a person?

I have name, middle name initial, surname. Youngest children's names. Postcode. He was one of my father's best friends.

I suppose I could write but I would really like to speak to him and his wife.

You could try the Salvation Army. They can trace people for you.

Have you looked on Facebook? For his children on Instagram ?

I'm not sure I understand. You have their name and postcode. What additional details do you want? Presumably this isn't somewhere close that you can start knocking on doors to find them? If UK perhaps something like joining the nextdoor.co.uk group and putting a request for more contact details there might be an option?

Have you tried online directory enquiries? You may have to pay a small fee to actually get the number.
Alternatively Facebook either for him or his children. If no luck with a name search maybe finding a local Facebook group for his town or village and ask on there if anyone knows him to ask him to contact you.
