Does anyone have a snug?

And if so, please can you tell me (or show me if you feel comfortable doing so) how you've decorated it/fitted it out?

I have a large kitchen/sitting room but it's not very homely or cosy. I also have a small bedroom that will now be empty most of the time so I'm thinking I'd like to use this as a very small snug. Would love some ideas and suggestions please?

I have one. It’s a small room off a large kitchen diner. It’s quite dark and I have considered adding a window as there is an external wall, but it’s a snug and I don’t honestly mind that it’s a bit dark as it’s rarely used other than evenings. It has a 5kw wood burning stove, two small teal velvet sofas, a vintage rug, and a very old drinks cabinet. Some folded home made crochet blankets and a nest of tables. It’s a very cosy space which I tend to occupy to read in the evening or if the DC are watching something in the main front room that I don’t want to watch.

We have a TV room off the kitchen. There is a sofa in here and a computer desk and a very large TV on the wall where my adult son and my grandsons play on the playstation.
Ideally it would (did) have rugs and candles on the coffee table but in reality it contains things we are selling online and is not very welcoming.
Originally it was a snug and I made it cosy with blinds and curtains and lamps. These days it's just a glorified office... sigh.

Ambient lighting and rugs and a lovely sofa with somewhere for the coffee cups OP is the way to go
