Is it only me that doesn't comment on all the photos/achievements/good news stories on WhatsApp groups?

If 20 people have already said "you must be so proud/congratulations/ beautiful/ well done" already, I just can't be bothered.

Am I alone in feeling like this?

Depends on the person and the achievement. A good friend, or something that I am genuinely impressed by then yes I'll comment. More of an acquaintance or someone prattling on about running another marathon, I'll scroll on by. It's not so much that other people have said it and I don't see the point, I'm just not going to gush over stuff I'm not really bothered by.

I'm with you on that.
I have a friend that takes photos of everything she does and expects lots of likes and comments. If I don't see asks if I saw them .
She also soaks up the comments of she should be a professional photographer when she posts a view.

Depends on the person. Some people will notice you've not congratulated/commented and internally take note. A heart react costs you no time or energy.

I don’t generally comment on larger groups, unless it’s a once in a lifetime style achievement - and then I’d rather say something face to face!

For smaller groups, I’ll probably care more tbh so more likely to say something.

I have very limited experience but... I'd say the vast majority don't comment or 'like' or any such.

Depends on how well I know the person. Family - yes. Close friends - occasionally. All others - hit the heart thing and keep scrolling.

This is how I usually do it also, except not always even the heart where they're not close friends/acquaintances. Like you, I would comment for family and close friends. Others I often scroll on by.
