Who's been snuggling today then?

I'm wondering if it's as prevalent as mn thinks it is.

These dull dark cold days just leave me fed up. Ive been for a walk, snuggled (sat on the sofa) earlier with Dd to catch up on Bake Off but the thought of the dark afternoon and evening ahead is leaving me restless.

We got this little bundle of fluff yesterday so have been snuggling watching Harry Potter with the DC's between trips to the garden and playing with her.

No snuggling here today, DH went out to the supermarket to do our weekly shop while I sat watching the West Ham match and crocheting. I have a theatre rehearsal tonight so I'll be out in a chilly building for most of the evening while trying to get panto costumes together then it'll be straight to bed for me when I get home.

Now I need a puppy ❤️

MrsNandortheRelentless · 12/11/2023 16:28

Yup.
100%.
yup. Still in pjs, huge dressing gown, hot water bottle, the Grinch and frozen watched.
Thinking of chucking a curry together for tea.
It’s lashing with rain, dark at 3.40, freezing cold so I ain’t going nowhere.
The best Sunday for bloody ages.

StarShipControl · 12/11/2023 16:29

Well that will make snuggling far more enjoyable @Notmyrealmum Grin

Nah, we’ve been out and about. It’s grey and dreary but the only thing worse than being out on a day like this would be being stuck at home during one 😅

Batferg · 12/11/2023 16:30

Us. DH en route back from London, curry on the hob. Fire is in. I am gruntled.

Fair bit of snuggling gone on here, as well as a bit of cooking/baking and copious reading. I'm hoping the snuggling may segue into some shagging later as it is just me and my husband here this weekend......

StaySpicy · 12/11/2023 16:32

I went for a cold water swim this morning, but have been snuggling since then on the sofa, sometimes with DS, sometimes on my own, but always with my blanket and a coffee and Youtube. Bliss! Thinking about just chucking some bits in the oven for tea.

Dolly0 · 12/11/2023 16:36

We've been out this morning swimming and dog walking, but having an afternoon on the couch now watching Harry Potter and drinking tea. Bliss!

StarShipControl · 12/11/2023 16:38

@StaySpicy I think you need as much snuggling as you can get. Cold water swim eek.

Yup me, out early to sort the animals then back home and been snuggling all day with the dogs and dh

ShirleyPhallus · 12/11/2023 16:47

I’ve got 2 toddlers and this weather is the worst. No amount of puddle suits and hot chocolates can make up for the early, cold dark mornings and the very limited options of soft play or other activities which are really crowded

Bring back long summer days!

piscofrisco · 12/11/2023 16:52

Me. Dh and I stayed in bed til 11, went out to do a food shop and a poke around the farm shop, now back home under the blanket with the Dogs whilst dinner cooks. It's lovely.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 12/11/2023 16:58

DH is working a 12 hour shift in London. I went to martial arts training this morning, but have pretty much chilled out since.

I have binge watched x-files, dyed my hair and trying to decide what to make for dinner.

FromMilanToMinsk1 · 12/11/2023 17:09

Well, now I want to binge watch X-Files. Why didn't I think of that?

I've been feet up on couch, heated throw on low, fairy lights on, chicken roasting in oven, flannel PJs and big chunky soft cashmere sweater, watching Friends and MNing whilst online shopping for Christmas presents. It's been GREAT. But X-Files would have made it better!

junbean · 12/11/2023 17:15

I've been absolutely dreading winter this year- I'm building a tiny home that's insulated for a warmer climate but I'm up in the mountains where it's been getting into freezing temps at night, with only a little junk heater that turns itself off constantly. I can't move my home until I get a few more things done though. Yesterday I finally installed a nice heater with glass front & sides with a fake fire & flames. I was so warm I fell asleep at 8! YES I am snuggling the shit out of life right now. I do hope to get out of here before there's heaps of snow to shovel though 🥶

I haven't watched it in years, forgot how good it is!! Just the right amount of cheesy.

Aw, yeah, I love it. Next weekend, that's what I'm doing 😁
