...and driving myself mad. I've been having on-off chest pains/breast pains/armpit pain for a couple of years. Had breast exams, ECGs, blood tests and all normal. No pain is very severe and it comes and goes. Recently has been focused more on one armpit (only ever been one) and is triggered by stretching back). I went to the GP again and this time she asked about coughing and whether I've ever smoked, which I have, though not heavily and stopped about 8 years ago completely. I have an occasional cough which comes in fits and not daily at all but when it does come it is a proper coughing fit/makes my eyes run etc. I have always thought it was allergy related and I've been prone to this for about 10 years - I do realise I should have had it checked. Now I'm aware of every little throat-clear/cough/feeling in my throat and driving myself mad.
Now I am panicking that I have lung cancer and it has spread to lymph nodes. I can't feel any lumps anywhere. I had the x-ray today and I am so anxious about waiting for the results or if they come back sooner...
Pointless post but any stories about waiting for x-rays/ideas what could be going on would be great!
