Did Covid mess up your cycle?

I know I need to book an appointment with my GP but I was just wondering whether anybody else has had issues with their period since recovering from Covid?

I had Covid in early September and both my cycles since then have been weird. I had an incredibly heavy period soon after testing positive and since then, I have had light bleeding every day between ovulation and the first day of my period.

Has anybody else experienced this? How long did it take to settle down again?

"It pointed out that most vaccinations are given before they can affect cycles, and that it’s something that really needs to be taken into consideration."

That's interesting, I remember several dismissive posts on here regarding those of us concerned about our periods post vaccine and they were sneering at us who were 'clearly uneducated in the way vaccines work'.
It's so upsetting how this has played out, I would've never knowingly risked my fertility, even if it was only a slight risk.

I’ve never had another period since I had the vaccine two years ago. Bled for six weeks after and nothing since. I’m 32, not had children yet. Was given meds to try and force a bleed and even that didn’t work. I’ve got a mirena in now and waiting to see gynae.

@dontspendanothernightalone , @ThisUsernameIsNotAvailablePlsTryAnother , @Camembertcufflinks I’m really worried about what this might mean for my fertility too. I’m trying to conceive at the moment and had not expected Covid to mess my periods up to this extent. The constant bleeding from ovulation and throughout my luteal phase makes me really worried that a baby won’t “stick” as the womb lining is shedding.

@Camembertcufflinks , do you mind if I ask how old you are? I’m mid thirties so a bit young yet for perimenopause but it really seems like I’m having the same symptoms. I really hope it hasn’t triggered early peri 😓

It makes me so angry that women aren’t properly considered in medical research and that we are ignored and dismissed when we report symptoms that the doctors had not expected.
