Luton Airport pick up and drop off

Has anyone been through Luton airport recently?

Elderly PIL are flying in on Monday to see a dying relative - normally DP would go into the drop off / pick up zone and I would run in to the terminal to find them and bring them out to the car.

Looking on their website they are now running a shuttle bus but DH won't be allowed to leave the car there to go in and get them and I can't get time off work at such short notice.

Just wondered if anyone had used Luton recently and if it there were lots of staff members on hand who would be able to direct PIL to the shuttle bus, or if DP should park in the long stay and go get them?

Why doesn't he park in long stay, take the bus to the terminal, pick them up, get the bus back all together? You get 1hr free parking in long stay.

Ah thank you Anna, didn't realise that would be an option. I seem to be going round and round in circles on the website.

I went at half term - MiL kindly dropped/collected yes. It was very busy with traffic being redirected. The drop-off/pick up was in the mid-stay car park but the queues to get in were awful. On the way back we took the bus to the long stay which was much better.
