Can’t See *Lucysmam* this morning so what’s happening in your house?

Morning all - hope you’re ok lucysmam. How’s everyone’s Saturday gone so far? I have had the joy of yet another run in with DD14 ( see other thread about her painting her room), although it turned out to be furniture not walls. DD’s girlfriend is sweet but has a lot of issues & DH & I find it hard to relax when she’s staying. DD’s behaviour often gets worse during her gf’s visits too. They can’t be left unsupervised for very long so if we’re not out doing stuff, I sometimes feel quite claustrophobic. It’s my day off & I would prefer to be doing stuff for me. Going food shopping when DH comes home for lunch. We don’t need a lot as I did a big shop the other day & the freezer is pretty well stocked. DD & GF have put a load of bags out on the landing - I have asked them to let us know which are rubbish, which need sorting & which are for charity. Need to do a charity shop run anyway as my boot is full. GF is being collected late afternoon. Having a nice easy tea. DH has an Indian ready meal in the fridge & I will have Chinese style belly pork slices with egg fried rice, both from frozen. DH needs pilau rice. Might watch a film if we stay awake !

Anyone out there??

We're having a lazy one this weekend. I've just been to Pets at home to get food for the hamster. Going to make some wraps for lunch in a minute and then go to Asda for a bit of food. DS15 is going to get his hair cut later and then meeting friends for a bit.

Morning,
Myself and dd8 have been swimming then she had her lesson while i did a few lengths. She then went to tap.
Taking DD12 to tumbling in a min and going to see if can get dd8 some new ballet shoes as her feet have grown loads.
We are off trampolining later for one of dd8's clubs then they are off to their dads so i get a chilled evening watching strictly.

DH has taken dog off for a long walk, I’ve tidied up, added a blanket to the bed because I was cold last night, put stroganoff in the slow cooker and had a coffee with my friend along the road.
Just hoovered through the house and contemplating crocheting a shawl….I really should finish the other projects I’ve started but 🤷🏼‍♀️
It’s bright and sunny here but chilly so will light the wood burner later.
Noting else planned for today 😊

I'm feeling a bit chappy today so having a lazy film/TV as I'm going out tomorrow night.
Louis Tomlinson in Glasgow, v excited, first time seeing him in 8 years, and first solo show.

DS2 woke up at 6, which was good as it meant we got into town to run errands by 9.30 and were home again by 11.30 (needed football leggings, wellies, and a birthday present, also bought a bikini in decathlon because it was nice and in my size - something that never happens when I shop in summer!)

DS2 is playing with all his plastic snakes/insects/creepy crawlys and DS1 and DH are at swimming. I'll wait till they are home and then make lunch.

I feel like I’ve been rather productive this morning actually. Left DH in bed this morning (he’s worked a lotttt of hours the last few weeks months) and took our toddler to b&m for some bits and pieces then on to Lidl for the food shop then home via McDonald’s for breakfast.. definitely in DHs good books for that. Did some colouring and drawing with toddler then he went down for his nap an hour ago. I’ve demolished a bag of Thai sweet chili sensations for energy and now I’m cleaning the kitchen, the sitting room, the porch, the hallway, the bathroom… in a slightly manic manner because we’ve got a visit from DHs relatives this afternoon.

Husband has the day off so he has taken the kids to their swimming lessons and will be home in about 5 minutes. I’ve just woken up because a bout of norovirus hit me at 5am 🤢. Debating if I feel fit to get up and maybe try having a cup of tea as my stomach feels a bit more settled than a few hours ago or just rolling over and going back to sleep. Youngest is going to a sleepover tonight for her best friends birthday so the idea was a movie night with our eldest with snacks. That will still happen but possibly without me.

DD has gone to work in her river tours job. DS is gaming.

DH is having a friend round at 3pm then going to meet up with another friend for an hour.

We are having homemade leek and potato soup for lunch which DH is making.

I am feeling quite covidy so just resting.

Beautiful sunny day here I got 3 loads of washing outside so pleased with that, simple pleasures!

We've come out this afternoon to a local farm where you can have a nice walk, feed the animals, small play area for DC. I'll get some eggs from the farm shop here they are often double yolkers!

Pizza for dinner, Asda £6 pizza deal is great value! Will supplement with wedges, coleslaw, chicken bites etc so hopefully under £12 or so for all 6 of us.

Wine and tv with DH tonight!

Quiet day for us. Dc1 practicing hobby. Dc 2 playing. I've done some washing, tidied up and now laying on sofa feeling wiped out (post covid).

Oh done a few bits towards beavers sbd cubs badges.

This morning I was making the third 'packet' of flowers from the Lego wildflower bouquet my DH bought me as part of my birthday present, and getting frustrated as this one is particularly fragile and tricky! About to watch a cheesy Christmas film on the telly.

I've been on a poppy hunt for tomorrow and ended up buying some new baubles. Picked up frozen pizza for tea. Just having lunch and no plans for the rest of the day, except a book and trashy Saturday night tv!

I was looking for our weekly thread, thanks for starting and hope @lucysmam is OK.

Today I've done minor bike repairs, put a wash on, had a coffee in the fleeting sunshine and baked biscuits.

I have started sorting through another kitchen cupboard in my goal to sort two each weekend until the whole place has been decluttered and organised, but I need to stop for a brew now.

Hello all. We had a quiet start with 2! Coffee's in bed.
Then DH and I attacked the front garden as I want to tidy down for winter. Mainly raking up leaves from our tree and just sweeping and cleaning the front door area.
DD's having a lazy Saturday so far but both are out tomorrow so it's nice they can potter.
Just about to start in the back garden for a couple of hours and then I want to make some parsnip and carrot soup.
I could quite happily snuggle under a blanket but I am forcing myself to get on.

Update to my earlier post: I got up when everyone came home from swimming and drank a small glass of water while husband boiled the kettle. Was sick 10 minutes later so came back to bed and just woken up again. Actually feeling a bit hungry now so might try a digestive and go for a shower, see if I can get myself moving a bit. Youngest DD is nervous about her sleepover tonight (first one) so should make an effort to see how she is doing before she leaves in about an hour.

I watched my younger son play football this morning. Came back and my husband made bacon butties 😋
Went for a lovely autumny dog walk with the kids and made hot chocolate with marshmallows when we got back. But I feel a bit sick now 🤢

Out with friends for brunch then to spa. Bonus of having an adult child but do miss those weekends of swimming, dancing and early nights 😂

Not in my house but husband and I dived here this morning, had wine, cheese and snacks for lunch and are now lazing around in the apartment next to the sea that we're staying in for the weekend 🙂🦀🍷

Pottering day here, dog walk, then some batch cooking for the week ahead. Jamie veg base curry with chicken and a spicy shepherds pie with turmeric crispy potatoes on top . Always so much easier in the days I’m working to have a meal done and in the fridge. Both DS out tonight so some wine and some of the batch cook curry with coconut rice and Nan and me and DH got some films lined up. Not into strictly this year much to DH delight

Felt icky last night and today, so the whole day has been quiet. I couldn't even face my usual pot of tea!
I have read and slept and dressed a doll.
There is left over lamb casserole for tonight, which I shall leave entirely to DH.

Did parkrun with the dc this morning and then they went bouldering and I went for another 10k run while they were there and now my glutes are in a world of pain 🤣. Bought dd new footie boots. Back for lunch and then I swept up all the pine needles and leaves from the pavement in front of our house as the garden bin gets emptied on Monday. Now I’m reading Young Mungo and drinking tea and the dc are watching Young Sheldon. I need to empty the washing machine but I CBA as I’m warm and comfy. Domino’s for dinner. Might have a glass of wine and watch a film.

Went to work at 6.30am. Had an order for 30 bread rolls at 7.30am so had to rush round. Only a small frozen delivery thank goodness. Came home and did the two minutes silence with Mum and Wilf joined in via videocall...
Afterwards put a beef casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tomorrow night and a cornflake Tart.
Watched some horse racing this afternoon. I grew up next to a NH racing yard and was very lucky to spend time there.
Going to watch Strictly later and then dye my hair...

Just reread... Cornflake Tart went in oven not Slow Cooker!!
