How old were you parents when they had you?

And how old were you when you had children? Just interested if things have changed much over the generations. My mum had me at 21 and my brother at 22. My dad was 28 when I was born. I was 35 when my DS was born.

DM was 26 & DF 27. DH & I adopted DD when I was 43 & DH was nearly 46.

Mum was 29 and Dad 30 when they had their first child, and 45 and 46 when they had me.

I was 29 and DH 28 when we had dc1, and we were 33 and 32 with dc2.

My mum was 18. I was 26

Mine were 31 and 33 (i'm youngest child) and i was 24 when i had my eldest. I felt like my parents were old when i was younger but they would be youngish parents these days.

My mum was early 40s when had me. I was 31 when had my one and only.

41 and 42, buy the tried for about 8 years. I’m in early 50s and they were both dead by the time I was 30

39 and 46, I was 22 when I had my first child.

Ps: I was 30 & 32

36 and 41. I had my first at 22. I wouldn't have wanted to be an older parent by choice.

I've not got kids but my mum had the first of four at 19 and had all of us by 26. Our dad was 5 years older. This was in the 60s. I remember thinking when I was 26 "how did she cope with 4 kids" when I was still into nights out and developing my career! But it was normal back then. My siblings were all at least early to mid 30s when they had their first.

I think my mother was 32, my father 29 but they both lied a lot about my mother’s age , maybe because he was younger? I don’t know.
I was 16y 11m when I had my first dc, 18y 4m for second ( and last)

My Mum had DS1 at 24, DS2 at 26, me at 28 and DS3&4 at 33.

I had DS1 at 18, DS2 at 19 and DD at 30.

Mum was 20, dad 27 when I was born, 22 and 29 for my brother

Both dh and I were 28 when ds was born, we'll be 33 (well I will be, he may still be 32) when our next arrives.

Dh parents were 23 when they had his sister and 28 when then had him.

My mum was 19 my dad 20 when they had my brother and then 22/23 when they had me.

I was 24 when I had DS and 27 when I had DD. Mine are now 6 and 18 months

My mum was 30 when she had me, and my dad was 36. I was 32 when I had dd and dh was nearly 39. So not a massive difference.

Mine were 35 having me.

I’m early (maybe mid?) 20s and DH and I are TTC.

My great gran had my gran at 36

Gran had my mum at 36

Mum had me at 36

I had mine at 26!

My GPs had DM at 29 & 31 in the 1930s

My parents were 28 & 30 when I was born in the 1960s

When DS1 was born in the 1990s, we were 29 & 31

So very similar over three generations.

My parents were 30 and 35 having me in the 1980s.

I was 21 and 26 when I had my kids.

One set of my grandparents were 23 and 25 having their oldest child, so I'm the youngest in 3 generations to have had a child. However, my great-grandmother was 21 when my nan was born in 1931 and I was a teen when she died.

My kids met 3 of their 8 great-grandparenfs and all their grandparents are still alive.

Both DP were 29 in the early 70s. I was 25 and 27 with my two in the late 90s. DH's parents were 21 and 26 when he was born in the mid 60s.

30 & 35 which thinking about it now was probably quite late for the late 70s. I was an only child, though my dad had a son with an ex when he was 19 (which seems so young).

I was 32 and 37 when I had mine.

Mum was 35, dad 38. They had tried for over a decade to have children but this was back in the days of there being no ivf, etc.
Took them another 5 years for my sibling.

I was older than mum when I had my one and only.

My mum was 17 when she had me but she already had my sister at 16. And she had her last child (the 6th) when she was 23 😮

All my siblings had their children between 19-23

I had mine at 39 & 41

Gradually older in our family. Grandparents, 19 and 21. Parents, 28 and 29. Us, 35 and 50!

My parents were 24 (mum) and 36 (dad) when they had me, I was the second of three.
