Passport interview after multi losses

HIIII,
I travel with daughter in 10 days time to Disney land and have just had to complete an interview due to losing so many previous passports. I’m freaking out it won’t come in time :-( don’t want to let my little girl down.. has anyone got any experience to share on this? Is there anything I can do??

Nope, nothing you can do. It's just the consequence of losing multiple passports (that sounds harsh, it isn't meant to be judgemental, it's just a fact). You'll just have to wait. Fingers crossed!

How do you keep losing them? I think the thing you can do is be more careful in future.

I've had this! When I was about 19 or 20 and was a student, my passport was the ID I took on nights out (terrible idea). I lost one and destroyed another by leaving it in my pocket and washing it 😬. That was enough to have to do an interview. It was completely fine and my passport came not too long after.

"so many"? How many have you lost?!

Teelouise · 10/11/2023 20:36

I’ve lost 3 in 10 years. I was extremely irresponsible when I was younger and used it as ID to go out. The current one I lost I had for 6 year and as you can imagine when I realised it was missing I was devastated. When I took to this forum I didn’t think people would make me feel worse.. judgey or what. So thank you @NotAHoot for sharing your experience as really that is all I asked for :-)
