I need indesctructible men's slippers! Mahabis worth it?

DH wear slippers all the livelong day, working from home. I have previously got Goodyear ones (Goodyear and Dunlop both make slippers, who knew?) that have lasted pretty well but they all eventually start flapping around after about 9 months with the sole coming off.

They can't be too hot and sweaty either so not fur-lined.

I was thinking of treating him to Mahabis but I can't quite bring myself to pay £90+ for a pair of SLIPPERS. And I don't know if they even last that long - do they?

For that price I could buy 3 pairs of Goodyears... He's not a trendy type either so doesn't really matter what they look like.

Have a look at Homeys - they're about £40 and last several winters in our house.

Haflingers are really good, my FIL put them through their paces and admitted that they are worth the money.

I think the Mahabis ones are lined with wool, so look like they'll be warm. But they do look like they'll last.

I also go through slippers at a rate of knots and can't bring myself to pay Mahabis prices.

I currently have some from Uniqlo that look durable. Which is a shame in a way, because I've also got my eye on these:

Thanks all - should have said, they need a back to them so not mules or slide-on type!

I bought Mahabis three times from when they started making them until maybe 4 years ago, replacing them every 18 months I think, by which time they would have holes at the toe ends. But I always have worked from home, and move around a lot doing so, so they got loads of use.

When the price really went up (they were once about £60, and with discount codes that they would email when you were on the mailing list - 25%, 15% - that felt okay) I stopped buying them, but I haven't found anything I like quite so much since. So I do think worth it.

Sorry, mules are the ones I want, but most of the places linked in my previous post sell a variety of slippers, including those with backs and also in a mens range.
