Please recommend a nice place for cocktails/beer and food in Central London for this weekend. Preferably away from the march route

I am meeting 3 uni friends in Central London for the day Saturday. None of us live near London so we are clueless where to go. We would like somewhere not too expensive that serves cocktails, beer and nice food where we can catch up and relax. Ideally away from the march.

Please can anyone recommend somewhere that might fit the bill. There are so many choices on Trip Advisor and its all a bit overwhelming. Thank you

If you've got a specific area in mind that would help- central London is big and there are so many places.

Fredericks Islington.

69 Colebrooke Row

Grind at Broadgate Circle (this branch does cocktails and food. Normally it's a coffee shop)

If you want to spend a bit more I LOVE yautcha or hakkasan and the service is excellent. They often have an early afternoon deal on for Saturday/ Sundays.

Somewhere down Bermondsey St (lots of options, google).

You could do a trawl of beer mile (also Bermondsey) https://www.bermondsey-beer-mile.co.uk/

Some of the art gallery cafes are nice. Friends recently had a lovely evening at NPG. And I was with them when we had a nice time at Design Museum upstairs place. Barbican Martini bar also nice (no food there though - but there is a food in the complex).

That has been our problem 🤦‍♀️ We are prepared to travel though and open to all suggestions!

There have been some brilliant suggestions so far 😊

I have donated to the appeal already but I wasn't aware it was so frowned upon to do anything enjoyable anymore 🙄

3 of us will be arriving at St Pancras and I have been here before so that might be a good plan!

https://www.10cases.co.uk/ - more towards Covent Garden so not too far but it's lovely. As with most of these would probably need to book.

Have a lovely day.
