Disgusting treatment by workers at Istanbul airport

she also had papers from her surgeon to show them.
she said they made her rip off her surgery dressings, causing her to bleed, they were touching and squeezing her, and they made horrible remarks towards her

she has further videos about things that happened on wizz air. I don’t know how to post more than one video

RS on TikTok

I have a feeling neither of the threads she created on here are going the way she hoped/planned either oooh is there another one?

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/feminism/4939083-woman-mistreated-istanbul-airport

I think she's hoping that one won't be a bin fire/pile on pointing out her, err, naivety in the same way this one is going. I think that's the polite way to describe what we're all thinking.

I give it less than an hour before someone reports and it's taken down for her concealing the fact that she's the TTer and she's fishing for views more than sympathy. I'm amazed it's not been taken down already.

Also not sure why she didn’t buy water before boarding the plane

Agreed, surely there is time between security and boarding to buy water and go to a toilet to change her dressings.

Also not sure why she didn’t buy water before boarding the plane

For the same reason she didn't spend 2-4 weeks recovering from surgery before flying cattle-class back to the UK.

Some of these comments are unbelievable in regards to what happened to her at the airport. Ripping off the dressing from her stitches causing her to bleed, squeezing her body and using abusive language to her! That is not acceptable. I can only assume you are not listening or reading, or are heartless and prejudiced because she’s had cosmetic surgery, as some comments demonstrate. Yes she did have medical papers from her surgeon, as did others who commented under her post, some got a similar experience that she received, but most who had a great experience at the airport.

No. You misunderstand. We don't believe it. She was so traumatised that she immediately got on TikTok. Yeah, right. I don't care how many letters she allegedly had from her surgeon - her surgeon could have been an international terrorist. Everybody, absolutely everybody, knows that there are rigorous security checks at airports at all times, and right now???? Perhaps you didn't notice that there a reason security is even tighter right now?

She can have as much cosmetic surgery as she wants. But she can spend her money STAYING in Turkey until she is recovered. Why should other passengers take the risk that her surgeon isn't a terrorist, and why should the NHS be left to pick up the pieces of someone who chose to go abroad for cosmetic surgery and didn't recover fully before they came back?

Ive got false boobs - all sorts of fun and games at airports......

Missing the point of the thread entirely but what on earth is full body surgery when it's at home?

At a guess,

Full tummy tuck and resiting of the navel.
Slice all the way round and hoick the back skin and arse together.
Tits at 12 o'clock with an extra half gallon of implants.
Face scraped back like the tightest pony tail in the world.
Filler everywhere. Maybe some acid painted on to resurface what's left.
Possibly also slicing along the inner thighs and arms, removing the looser bits and sewing it back up again.

Not far off her being skinned alive and then sewn back up again with half the original amount of skin. Probably meant she could give Boris Karloff a stumbling run for his money as a remake of The Mummy.

TheCatterall · 09/11/2023 18:14

@Melita7 is it your tik tok?

Wintersgirl · 09/11/2023 18:14

Tiktok is generally full of attention seeking thicko’s.

It is!

Cozytoesandtoast00 · 09/11/2023 18:29

Nasty comments.
if you don’t believe her, fair enough. However there is no need for personal attacks.
Mean girl behaviour. Shame on (some of) you.

Toottooot · 09/11/2023 18:33

Shame on nobody.

Wizz air are the sort of airline you'd probably need to bring your own pilot and aeroplane but on what earth is it acceptable to get someone who's recently had surgery to take off their dressings. Could be the nature of the surgery which is distorting people's views but honestly, surgical dressings aren't just for shits and giggles. Problem is I doubt anyone will do anything about it.

It's acceptable when you are talking about the security of people on a plane and in an airport. HTH.

DahliaJ · 09/11/2023 18:44

And of course, what will be the most likely result of complaining about the airline’s service….that airlines they will stop providing flights so soon post surgery!
New rules brought in to insist that passengers do not fly until healed and in a state that means security checks can take place.

Airline/airport staff are not health care workers and nor should they be expected to be.

She’s posted it in feminism. Good luck with that not being a bin fire.

Should do the next one in AIBU.

You’ve obviously never read the Daily Mail. The readers’ comments on this would make the PP here look benign and sympathetic.

I meant that faux outrage by the DM columnist! They always pretend to be on the side of the subject of the article, knowing full well it’s just click bait for the crowd with burning pitchforks.

AhBiscuits · 09/11/2023 19:06

She should not be flying 5 days after full body surgery. This is her fault and I bet all the staff are sick of these people.

Bassetlover · 09/11/2023 19:28

GirrlCrush · 09/11/2023 17:27

Those dressings could have been hiding alsorts

Were they really 'ripped off' though....or simply removed to check?

What, licorice?

Dappy55 · 09/11/2023 19:31

Perhaps OP/mystery tik tokker you could have bought a drink in departures instead of wasting time filming yourself with a fake tear rolling down your face.

AnxiousPangolin · 09/11/2023 19:33

Hilarious that people think TikTok is a reliable source of information.

The FCO has been strongly advising British citizens not to travel to Turkey for medical procedures for ages now, their safety record is very worrying (no matter what they’re unethical, glitzy social media ads say).

In fact, travel to Turkey for any reason at the moment is strongly advised against.

"In fact, travel to Turkey for any reason at the moment is strongly advised against."

No it's not. Only to certain parts of Turkey near the Syria border thousands of miles away from Istanbul and the holiday regions

RafaistheKingofClay · 09/11/2023 21:10

Totally off topic but being laid up for 5 days after surgery is a total waste of Istanbul.

i suspect the OP is the woman in question.

My thoughts too .

Ballsbaill · 09/11/2023 22:37

Is full body surgery even done here?

I've got one false boob due to a mastectomy. Been patted down. Probably looks really weird on the x Ray machine.

therealcookiemonster · 09/03/2024 18:18

drug mules go to incredible lengths to conceal drugs

and also security threat

anyone who is still leaking from their wounds when dressing is changed unless it's very minor superficial work is not ready to fly
