Disgusting treatment by workers at Istanbul airport

she also had papers from her surgeon to show them.
she said they made her rip off her surgery dressings, causing her to bleed, they were touching and squeezing her, and they made horrible remarks towards her

she has further videos about things that happened on wizz air. I don’t know how to post more than one video

RS on TikTok

Meh. I only watched the first video.

Security comes above vanity.

If she's not able to present adequately to security (of course they have the right to search anyone) then she's not fit to fly at all. Nobody would bat an eyelid at a suitcase being scrutinised thoroughly.

Furthermore, she's expecting two airline staff to disrupt boarding so that she can get/buy a drink to take her meds - lack of planning on her part DOES NOT constitute an emergency on theirs. And toilets are out of bounds during boarding. All airports have toilets in the departure lounge she should have fixed her bandages there, not on board the plane.

CF and entitled.

I'm not opening any links to that sort of thing. Was she travelling with someone else or unaccompanied?

Is there a non tiktok source for this?

PutinSmellsPassItOn · 09/11/2023 15:02

I've got no sympathy for anyone stupid enough to fly abroad for none essential surgery who then whinges about having to follow security protocol........I file these people under the absolute bellend category. The sense of entitlement is unbelievable.

MichaelBurnhamFan · 09/11/2023 15:19

As a wheelchair user I get searched every time I fly or go through airport style security. My understanding is mobility aids/medical equipment have been used to breach security before so we get looked at closely.

I’m sorry she found it intrusive and horrible but it’s necessary for security and the staff are usually good at communicating what they’re doing and why.

RampantIvy · 09/11/2023 15:24

Sadly, you are right @MichaelBurnhamFan. The scrotes who make travel difficult for the more vulnerable make me so angry.

GoonieGang · 09/11/2023 15:25

Surely she’d have had medical paperwork to show them? And if you know you have to take medication, wouldn’t you have got a drink to take on the plane?
Only half a story and we don’t know what actually happened but I don’t feel a lot of sympathy for her I’m afraid

Oganesson118 · 09/11/2023 15:30

I don't believe half of what she said actually happened. I doubt very much that air hostesses were "screaming and shouting" at her when they were trying to disembark a planeload of passengers. Despite her protestations, she DID video them without consent and if they were going through deleting all her videos, how convenient she still had 2 very detailed ones they somehow missed!

savoycabbage · 09/11/2023 15:33

What actually happened. I've flown a lot and sometimes you are searched. I've had to take my babies nappy off before. Also, I had to taste all the food I'd brought for a 26 hour flight.

Once I had food I'd brought for my anaphylactic child taken off me. And in Dubai airport when we were transferring my two and five year old had to wait in a different queue from me at passport control.

All sorts of stuff happens. You just have to do what you are asked to do in airports.

MaliciaKeys · 09/11/2023 15:34

No sympathy from me, I'm afraid. She should be aware of security searches FFS and grateful for them as well. As for needing a drink to take medication, well, why wasn't she able to provide her own drink? She sounds silly and attention-seeking.

DogInATent · 09/11/2023 15:42

I don't usually do TikTok, but her channel content suggests she's gone into this eyes wide shut. Extensive budget surgery in Turkey treated as if it's just another budget airline holiday, and now paying the penalty for the piss poor aftercare she's not paid for.

Will there be a follow-up for when the NHS has to pick up the pieces from her EasyT*ts and RyanLips lifestyle choices?

Mercurial123 · 09/11/2023 15:47

She's awful and entitled. She should have waited in Turkey after her plastic surgery if she was worried about her recovery.

IvorTheEngineDriver · 09/11/2023 15:49

What did she expect?????

Aaron95 · 09/11/2023 15:53

We flew back from Istanbul last month. It was very noticable that there were a lot of people in the checkin queue who had just had some sort of surgery. It seems travelling to Turkey for surgery is really popular.

On our flight we reckon there were at least 20. Many were blokes with shaved heads and strange rashes who had presumably had hair restoration of some kind. The women all looked like they had all had some sort of cosmetic treatment to their faces.

VeridicalVagabond · 09/11/2023 15:55

Missing the point of the thread entirely but what on earth is full body surgery when it's at home?

Neriah · 09/11/2023 15:56

Sorry but I am in complete agreement with this to an extent. Also disabled and me/ my equipment is thoroughly searched for any risk. I would be disturbed that any airport security would not do so. I have to have special shoes and I have to take them off even though I can barely walk without them. It is what it is - people have used such shoes to try to bomb planes before now. Perhaps if you were flying on a plane you'd be grateful that airport security were being thorough?

The extent to which I disagree is that she went to Turkey for treatment which, at least in my view, is not essential, and has returned before being fully recovered - expecting the NHS to pick up the pieces of an unwise course of action if, as happens frenquently, it all goes wrong. Honestly, I think the NHS should charge anyone expecting them to treat someone returning from abroad unless the treatment is for medical necessity.

TheKnittedCharacter · 09/11/2023 16:01

That's one of the many risks she has taken. I don't have much sympathy for her (and judging by the state of her, perhaps she should stop procedures now).

Melita7 · 09/11/2023 16:07

Some of these comments are unbelievable in regards to what happened to her at the airport. Ripping off the dressing from her stitches causing her to bleed, squeezing her body and using abusive language to her! That is not acceptable. I can only assume you are not listening or reading, or are heartless and prejudiced because she’s had cosmetic surgery, as some comments demonstrate. Yes she did have medical papers from her surgeon, as did others who commented under her post, some got a similar experience that she received, but most who had a great experience at the airport.

I hate all this "oh poor me, they've been so mean so I'm going to plaster this all over social media to get a reaction" bullshit!

Melita7 · 09/11/2023 16:16

It’s nothing to do with special treatment. You’re being purposely ignorant, but I see you are abusive yourself and clearly have issues, so of course you’d defend it.

I have aids I use for mobility and they're checked every time. I also set off the alarms due to metal and I get searched every time.

She shouldn't have gone to Turkey for vanity surgery if she wasn't prepared for what the travel post surgery would be like.
