How can I change my number with EE

I have a pay as you go sim with EE. I don’t mind buying another sim if I have to but I don’t want to pay £35 just to change my number.

Why would you have to?

I bought a new EE sim last week for my husband and it cost 99p.

I could've ordered a free one online but he didn't want to wait.

Where did you buy it?

My local sweetshop but you can get them from supermarkets/general stores/phone repair shops etc.

Tell them you need to change your number due to malicious/Nuisance calls/texts.
You can do this 3 times a year free of charge, anything after that is chargeable
Number change is usually immediate but can take up to 24 hours, just an FYI you won't be able to get your old number back, it'll be permanently cancelled.

You can also order 2 free Sims off the Website.
You can choose a 30 day prepay pack, or if you don't want one, Ring them when you receive it & the pack can be removed so you won't have a time limit on your allowances

You shouldn’t pay just for changing your mobile number with EE.

You can switch your mobile provider at no cost. Get a free SIM card from EE or another mobile operator, get a STAC code from EE and you will be migrated to the new card with a new number.
