The pro-Palestine march and a theatre trip

I'm going to London this weekend and due to go to the Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings - near Trafalgar Square. Do you think it will be safe? Will I be able to get through the crowds? I'm half Jewish but don't look Jewish so I don't think it matters but maybe it makes me a little more worried. Going alone. Would you still go?

It’s a peaceful march. No one is going to lynch you for looking Jewish. As long as you’re respectful of the protestors and avoid routes where there’s traffic, I’m sure you’ll be fine.

If you do see any disruption or heavy-handed policing then just turn around and reroute.

I'd be more worried about the trains ans tubes if you have to get any!

Don't worry @Barbs775 I'm worried about those, too 🤣. I don't think there are any strikes though, and at a push I'll be able to walk from my hotel.

My dcs friends family who are Jewish are going to the march, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Jewish or not no one will bat an eye lid. It's a ceasefire requesting peaceful protest also attended by Jews and other religions and cultural backgrounds. As pp pointed out, I would be more worried about transportation.

I went exactly there to see Jersey Boys last Saturday. All was ok, though there was quite a few territorial support units, sirens, fireworks in the street and helicopter overhead- so something was going on nearby. The staff let everyone in very quickly so no one was on the street. It was quiet by the time we came out. Have a fantastic evening!

There are no strikes, but 5 tube lines are closed until 3pm on Saturday. Check your journey.

The march is about requesting a CEASEFIRE in Gaza. Not about targeting violence towards Jews or anyone else.
I went on last Saturday's rally in trafalgar square and it was attended by very diverse group of people, including Jews.
But be aware of transport problems, with huge numbers of people using the same stations.

The march is nowhere near Trafalgar Square. It is in the daytime.
