Just started suffering again after two decades of sleeping easily. Suspect it's bloody perimenopause.

It's 2.15am and the alarm goes off at 6.30 tomorrow. Bugger this. I've done yoga, chamomile tea, lavender on the pillow. Nothing is helping...

Long term forever insomniac. I think my body is just wired this way. Never slept before 2/3 and I am the lightest sleeper. Just woke up now from my husband in the other room coughing.

I have everything before bed time too.

Maybe you are wired differently too. In the culture I am from we generally sleep late from 3am-10am. Or you sleep 2/3am-7am and have a nap later on. Lots of cultures around the world sleep late but knowing that doesn't help. We still have to go to work and do school drop offs.

I think I have found my people!

Doesnt always work but I can recommend ‘Sleep Sounds’ on Apple Music.

poscasts to help me get back to sleep;
Send me to Sleep
Boring Books for Bedtime (this might be my favourite as some of the books are unbelievably boring, but very soothing!)
Daily Rosary Meditation (I’m catholic and some of these are really good for dealing with stress, anxiety, etc. I also like the repetitiveness of a rosary!)

Magnesium Glycinate is your friend... having said that I've only had broken sleep from about 11 til 5 which is an on night for me. Menopause and work anxiety. Joy. Need to teach myself to worry less.
