Pots and pans

I got cheap pots and pans a few months ago, I used non scratch scourers on them and now the black paint has now been scraping off into the food.
can someone recommend a set

What sort of budget and what size and type of pans are you after?

If you can afford it I recommend stainless steel pans. They last and last.
