Am just getting quotes in for the government 'boiler upgrade scheme' to install an air source heat pump, and claim the £7.5k grant towards the install.
We are lucky to have underfloor heating and lots of insulation already - but I have a feeling they are going to say we need to change our upstairs radiators to be able to qualify for the grant. The house is really warm and we don't actually use them that often at the moment (oil fired boiler).
I'm also aware there are a lot of newly qualified installers because of the grants, and also a lot of very busy installers, and it's a seller's market because of that.
Thought a thread might be useful to share tips :-)
