Best way for half sibling DNA test

Just thought I’d double check.
For two people who believe they could be half siblings - is Ancestry the best way? I know it will pick up and show matches for half siblings but is there a more precise DNA kit company that anyone’s used who are accredited under the Family Law Reform Act?

I’m on Ancestry and have DNA tested myself years ago and I think it seems like it’s a good option for them but just wondering if another company would be better?

I want a sibling DNA test and trying to figure out whether to go to a specific company or ancestry.

Hi @User415373 it was for a relative, not for me.

I was slightly disappointed because the results was that they ARE half siblings however, they are assuming they know which father was the father when in actual fact, the test doesn’t tell them that.

To do that, my mum should test with her half sibling to prove that her father is not the father of the siblings..because in theory, they could still be full siblings.
They didn’t use Ancestry - they used a company they found online but I have no idea which.

For your case, Ancestry is cheaper but I don’t know if it’s as precise - I imagine it is.
