It’s been one of those days

Anyone else? Nothing particularly bad (thank God!), but just an accumulation of seemingly never ending little things that are making me count down the minutes (13 minutes) until the toddler goes to bed and until the older one (48 minutes) goes to bed.

anyone else? Or has anyone had a particularly good day they’d like to share that I can take some pleasure from?

I feel the same way. My children have been hard work this evening , hurting each other. My patience has totally gone. I have snapped and shouted and feel awful . Just need 10 minutes to myself to cry. Xx

DD back at nursery today so that was a positive and some much needed quiet time. I had loads planned with DS as he's not back at school until tomorrow but a terrible nights sleep, general exhaustion after night shifts and the weather had other ideas so we stayed in, watched cartoons and played with megablocks instead.

@Autumnleaves888 i’m sorry, don’t feel bad for snapping, we’ve all been there. Hopefully yours are tucked up in bed, or will be soon and they let you have a good nights sleep. Also there’s nothing wrong with a little cry, I’ve done it plenty of times and it’s cathartic.

@800gsuperseed your day sounds like it was lovely! I really, really dislike when the nights start getting longer and the clocks go back. How are you feeling now?

Thank you ☺️ @Fahhgedaboutit . They are both in bed now and I am about to make myself a green tea and climb into bed. I feel exhausted. I hope you have a relaxing evening. Tomorrow is another day xx

I had a better-than-normal day. I unexpectedly found something i had lost, a parcel I’d been waiting for turned up after two weeks, and my kids played nicely all evening which is unheard of.

I agree that often it is the very small things that make a day bearable or not!

I've had a nice day. I woke up feeling well. I had a lovely massage this morning, we managed to find a parking spot for my radiotherapy, the leek and potato soup I made at the weekend was delicious for lunch, I had a lovely 'chat ' with my stepdaughter, and then received some letterbox flowers from her for my birthday, I had a really good nap this afternoon, the Bolognese I made at the weekend and that we had for supper was a really good one, we finished off watching the series 'The Empress' this evening and I'm now tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle about to go to sleep.
I'm sorry you are having a difficult day OP, I hope it gets better for you. I'm just relishing every small pleasure at the moment as there are, quite frankly, quite a lot of shitty things going on. It's been hard getting here, but it's worth the effort. I hope you get a little time to yourself later on when you can concentrate on being you. It's tough being a mum.

I read something about an astrological shift today. But yes, not the best day. Tomorrow will make it all better though.

I picked up a skateboard from facebook maretplace.

It is like new, and I was telling the seller I was planning on giving it to my dc for Christmas. It was £15 but she said "call it a tenner" I was taken aback and promised I'd pay it forward, we ended wishing each other merry christmas 😊
